FirstResponderApps is the creation of Victoria State Emergency Service volunteer Nigel Cunningham, who has been in the service for more than 17 years and has worked in IT for much of his professional career.
FirstResponderApps exists to provide Australia's first responders with the best and the latest in reliable, scalable, user friendly and accessible applications that support every aspect of their work.
Our apps work on Android and IOS platforms, and also in a regular web browser. They can therefore be used wherever you go and whatever device you're using.
The first offering from FirstResponderApps is called KnowItAll. KnowItAll allows services to provide their volunteers and staff with quick and easy access to PDFs, which might include SOPs, field operation guides, policy documents or operating manuals... anything that can be in a PDF. Full text indexing makes locating information quick and easy, with search results viewable as text or as thumbnails of the pages themselves. Corrections to PDF text can be made without regenerating and reuploading PDFs, and will be instantly available to all users.
